News from the SLIR Advisory Board |
 SLIR Advisory Board |
Seeking to maintain the momentum coming out of its annual meeting last April, the SLIR Advisory Board (Advisory Board) met again on October 15th and 16th. Six standing committees that had been meeting regularly via teleconferencing over the last year prepared committee assessments and recommendations to the faculty and the 23 Board members who were able to attend the meeting. Full support was obtained for sets of recommendations made by three committees; namely, to change our curriculum, to offer upper-level HR executive programs, and to launch an annual alumni and corporate gift-giving campaign. Based on further input from the Board, the standing committees on student recruitment, on placement and career development, and on international programming are each refining their recommendations to present to the Board at its next meeting in the spring semester.
