LIR 811: Training and Development
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Conduct a needs assessment to prepare for training.
- Write clear and measurable training objectives
- Design training that addresses learner as well as organizational needs.
- Employ and/or design active and interactive training techniques.
- Differentiate between the various levels of evaluation, and design an evaluation process.
- Design and develop a training program, with a complete set of Instructor guidelines, to maximize transfer of knowledge and skills to the workplace.
- Evaluate and choose appropriate instructional strategies.
- Critically evaluate training programs.
- Identify strategies for addressing organizational issues affecting training.
