LIR 811: Training and Development
Course Overview
This course is designed primarily for human resource and labor relations professionals who wish to acquire a resource base of knowledge and skills for designing, developing, conducting, facilitating and evaluating training programs. It is designed both for students and practitioners who are, or plan to be, engaged in training program development and delivery as well as for those who wish to be better consumers of training services. Learners will learn and apply the elements of instructional systems design, as it applies to adult learners, by designing and developing a full-day training program, with Instructor’s Manual, ready for delivery in a workplace or other organization. Students will have an option for conducting the training program they design and receiving feedback from the training program’s participants as well as the instructor of this course.
