Our graduates work for employers or for unions in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors of the economy. Many of our graduates work in human resource management (or personnel), in labor relations (or collective bargaining), or in both areas.
In their work, our graduates participate in decisions involving recruiting and hiring; training and development; determining compensation and benefits; employee relations; negotiating and administering collective bargaining contracts; handling grievances; promoting equal employment opportunity; ensuring occupational health and safety; and similar activities intended to facilitate the attraction and retention of a qualified and satisfied work force.
