Taking Classes as a Non-LIR Student

Graduate Lifelong Education Program (LEP) Students
The maximum number of LIR courses that may be taken by LEP students is three(3). If you enroll in a fourth class, you will be administratively dropped from the course. LEP students will not be permitted to early enroll or enroll during regular registration for LIR classes. Waiting lists are kept for LIR classes. Please contact the department office at 517/355-3285 (or email:graduate@lir.msu.edu) to have your name placed on waiting lists for courses you are interested in. If space is available after LIR students have completed the enrollment process, we will allow eligible LEP students to enroll.

In addition, you will need to complete a LifeLong Education application in order to be eligible to enroll in courses. The LifeLong Education Application can be found on the MSU Registrar's webpage at www.reg.msu.edu.

Non-LIR Graduate-Level Students
The maximum number of LIR courses that may be taken by non-LIR graduate students is four (4). If you enroll in a fifth class, you will be administratively dropped from the course.
