Human Resources Executive Education (formerly the HR Education & Training Center and the Workers' Compensation Center), School of Labor and Industrial Relations, Michigan State University, is the preferred provider of professional education in the areas of human resources, labor relations and workers' compensation. It is the only university-based center servicing all workers' compensation professionals.
Programs facilitate professional success throughout one's career. From Chief Human Resource Officers benefiting from learning how to interact more effectively with the Board, high-potential middle managers preparing for promotion, plant managers and school superintendents with limited knowledge of HR best practices, attorneys providing counsel to employers, to those just entering the fields of human resources, labor relations or workers' compensation, all have benefited from Human Resources Executive Education programming.

Regardless of the delivery format, all programs are built on a solid foundation of effective teaching and learning and include access to extensive resources and reference materials. Practical application is emphasized and supported by research and theory. Networking opportunities are encouraged. Faculty who are subject matter experts with real-world experience develop and facilitate the programs. The faculty conduct research and publish in both practitioner and academic outlets. Each month, faculty and graduate students write brief White Papers on topics of timely interest. The vast majority of Human Resources Executive Education programs have been pre-approved for Continuing Education Credits and in the case of employment law programs for Continuing Legal Education Credits through a number of accrediting associations. Generally, even those programs that have not yet been pre-approved are accepted for continuing education credits.
