Be recognized as a New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Professional

New Jersey Certification Program,

Sept 22-26, 2008

This is a special version of the CWCP program. It is being offered jointly with Rutgers: The State University of New Jersey and Michigan State University. In addition to the CWCP from MSU, attendees will be recognized as certified New Jersey workers' compensation professionals by Rutgers University.

The week-long course is approved for 33.75 credit hours in NJ for CLE.

Most of the content will reflect the national orientation of the Michigan State University program. However, the sessions dealing with legal issues of workers' compensation and other disability programs will examine the New Jersey approaches to these issues, drawing on the expertise of the Rutgers University faculty and guidance from practitioners in the Garden State. For Rutgers, this program is being directed by John Burton (Member, New Jersey Advisory Counsel on Workers' Compensation; Professor Emeritus and former Dean of the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University; and former Chairman of the National Commission on State Workmen's Compensation Laws).

In addition Peter J. Calderone, Director and Chief Judge of the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation, will be available to answer questions about the New Jersey Program.

The registration, fees, exams, and procedures for this course will be the same as those for other CWCP programs.

For specific information about the New Jersey certification contact John Burton at JFBurtonJr@aol.com or (732) 274-0600.
