Recertification Requirements for
Certified Workers' Compensation Professionals
Overview
When attendees successfully complete the Certification Program and examination, they will be certified for a period of two school years following the program. At the end of that time, they must be recertified for successive two-year periods. The recertification requirements are explained below.
Timing
Certification will be based on a school year, September 1 through August 31, with applications for recertification accepted between May 1 and June 30 of the year in which they are due to expire. Individuals who complete a seminar before September of any year will be considered certified for two years after the following August as indicated in the table below.

The Center will send out reminders when individuals are due for recertification.
Recertification Requirements
There are two options for recertification. Applicants may demonstrate that they have completed 28 hours of qualifying continuing education courses during the last two years or they may take and pass a recertification examination. More information is available:
